This role will focus on driving new large-scale innovations that are the most critical to the growth of Customer Ops and be responsible for developing business cases to document the financial impacts of developing the ideas into an actual product or solution. This person will be capable of working independently with minimal direction to drive ideas from charter/initiation to business case.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ideation - Translation of strategic objectives and insights into product concepts that realize core, adjacent, and growth business opportunities for Customer Operations. Leverage the insights from Long-Term Strategy to focus the innovation process on areas identified as holistic growth opportunities for Customer Operations.

  • Testing & Business Case - Intake, prioritize, analyze, and build comprehensive business cases to vet product viability, including preliminary financial projections, customer willingness to pay, technical feasibility, and potential risks and challenges. Present the business case to senior leaders, stakeholders, and other decision-makers to gain approval for developing the product or solution.

  • Project Leadership - Lead innovation projects and 'do the work of innovation.' Often, project leadership within an innovation project can mean different tasks - from building a team charter (defining scope), interviewing stakeholders, executing discovery, running financial analyses and finding the right resources to provide input.

  • Test/Pilot - Lead testing and piloting of new products/prototypes

  • Networking & Stakeholder Management-Coordinate with McKesson Technology, Core Product Management, and other Product Developers to build relationships with key leaders and project stakeholders throughout the organization. Effectively navigate cross-functionally to lead, influence, and reach consensus around innovation project decisions, investments, and resource allocations.

Minimum Requirement

  • Degree or equivalent and typically requires 7+ years of relevant experience.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in business, technology, marketing, or related discipline or 5+ years of demonstrated experience.

Critical Skills

  • 7+ years of project/product leadership

  • Healthcare Knowledge: knowledge of stakeholders, trends, economic drivers, and policy across healthcare.

  • Experience executing on an end-to-end innovation process from ideation to presenting the business case to senior leadership.

  • Experience creating comprehensive business cases that outline product viability.

  • Demonstrates success in leading innovation projects

Physical Requirements

  • General office demands.

  • Must have the ability to travel up to 20% of the time.

The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations. Our Base Pay Range for this position

$115,000 - $191,600
