Summary:

Under general direction of the Senior Director - Reporting & Analytics, responsible for managing the execution, reporting, analysis and interpretation of specific data used in managing Cencora customers and the business. In addition, working cross functionally and through collaboration with the Health Systems (HS) and Community and Specialty Pharmacy (CSP) segment leaders is responsible for the requirements, design, development, and execution of the customer reporting strategy.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

    Leadership & People Management

    • Lead, mentor, and coach a multidisciplinary team of data scientists, machine learning engineers, and bioinformaticians

    • Foster a culture of growth including innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning

    • Align team goals with organizational strategy and priorities

    AI/ML & GenAI Product Innovation

    • Drive the design and deployment of AI/ML and GenAI solutions for data enhancements, trial optimization, precision medicine and real-world evidence generation

    • Oversee development of predictive models, generative tools, and decision-support systems using structured and unstructured biomedical data

    • Matrixed collaboration with product leaders, engineering and sales teams to translate prototypes into scalable products

    • Development of innovative and state of the art AI/ML solutions for directs and oversees the customer reporting requirement requests for all segments as well as corporate and regional requests; requests may be ad hoc and will vary based on the current need

    • Perform other duties as assigned

    Biomarker & Life Sciences Expertise

    • Apply deep knowledge of oncology, biomarkers (genomic, proteomic, imaging, etc.) to inform model development and scientific strategy. Urology and ophthalmology knowledge preferred

    • Partner to integrate data science into building enhanced products and expanded support for partner teams

    • Stay abreast of emerging trends in therapies, drug discoveries and launches, precision medicine, omics technologies, and regulatory approvals

    Strategic Collaboration & Communication

    • Engage with cross-functional stakeholders including provider, medical affairs, commercial, and external partners

    • Present findings and strategies to executive leadership and scientific groups

    • Represent the company at scientific conferences and industry forums

    Required Skills and Qualifications:

    • Requires broad training in fields such as business administration, accountancy, sales, marketing, computer sciences or similar vocations generally obtained through completion of a four year Bachelor's Degree Program

    • Normally requires a minimum of six (6) years directly related and progressively responsible experience

    • Understands retail trends and operating assumptions

    • Proven track record of leading large, integrated sales to large customers

    • Demonstrated history of operating as a business manager

    • Superior analytical skills relative to financial modeling; fluent in profitability calculations

    • Excellent organizational skills; attention to detail

    • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing

    • Excellent integration, implementation and management skills

    • Excellent interpersonal skills

    • Working knowledge of computers necessary to operate effectively with company systems and programs

    *This Salary Range reflects a National Average for this job. The actual range may vary based on your locale. Ranges in Colorado/California/Washington/New York/Hawaii/Vermont/Minnesota/Massachusetts/Illinois State-specific locations may be up to 10% lower than the minimum salary range, and 12% higher than the maximum salary range.
