JRAD is seeking candidates for a contingent hire position supporting the US Army Deputy Chief of Staff (DCS) G-8. This is an onsite position at the Mark Center in Alexandria, VA.

Description:

JRAD is recruiting a Senior Operations Research Systems Analyst to support the DCS G-8 Force Development mission. Senior ORSA will conduct advanced quantitative analysis, modeling, and simulation to support Force Development decision-making processes, with emphasis on optimization, predictive analysis, and data-driven recommendations for senior Army leadership. Travel - regular travel is required to support analytical studies and data collection - CONUS/OCONUS military installations. This position is contingent upon contract award.

Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Analysis: Develop study plans for complex problems with minimal precedent
  • Data Analysis: Collect, organize, and analyze information from multiple sources including databases, surveys, and stakeholder feedback
  • Modeling: Build and manipulate mathematical models representing processes, systems, and operations
  • Decision Support: Provide analytical recommendations to senior leaders (O6-GO/SES level)
  • Innovation: Generate new study ideas and analytical approaches
  • Briefing: Present complex analytical findings to senior Army leadership
  • Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams and coordinate with other Army Staff elements

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in one of the following: Operations Research, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering (Systems or Industrial), or Computer Science.
  • Minimum 5 years of Operations Research Systems Analysis experience at senior military levels (HQDA, MACOMs, Army Service Component Commands, or equivalent Joint Service levels)
  • Software Proficiency:
    • SAS (required for modeling and analysis)
    • Business Intelligence Tools (Qlik, Tableau)
    • Microsoft Office Suite (advanced Excel capabilities)
    • Statistical analysis software (R programming preferred)
  • Analytical Techniques:
    • ANOVA, Multiple Regression analysis
    • Forecasting and measurement analysis
    • Flow modeling and linear programming
    • Queuing theory and simulations
    • Cost-benefit analysis
    • Business reengineering/IDEF modeling
  • Technical Expertise:
    • Advanced mathematical and statistical modeling
    • Linear and non-linear programming
    • Simulation and predictive modeling
    • Optimization techniques
    • Risk analysis and management
    • Capital investment analysis
    • Decision analysis supporting business units
  • Ability to solve real-world problems in capital investment and system design
  • Demonstrated capability to brief and communicate complex analytical concepts to senior leadership
  • Experience with survey design and data interpretation
  • Proven track record in developing practical solutions to business problems through quantitative analysis

Security Clearance:

  • DoD Secret with ability to qualify for and acquire Top Secret
