Job Overview:
Haskel, an Ingersoll Rand entity, is the world leader in High-Pressure Technology Solutions and is at the forefront of innovation in liquid pumps, gas boosters, air amplifiers, and cutting-edge system solutions. We're seeking an Engineering Manager who thrives on solving complex challenges and leading high-performing teams. In this role, you'll guide and mentor engineers, drive the development and testing of next-generation solutions, and oversee production, quality assurance, and technical excellence in our manufacturing plant. You'll also serve as the go-to expert for electrical/electronic products, providing guidance and impact across our global engineering organization.

Responsibilities:


  • Oversee research activities and develop knowledge-based products for the company
  • Oversee a department of engineers, test lab and documentation control personnel
  • Manage the new product development, sustaining engineering and i2v (cost reduction) teams as assigned to meet organizational needs and project on-time delivery.
  • Overseas complex projects, analyzes results and provides recommendation based on findings
  • Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met/assesses the scope of research projects and ensures they are on time and adhering to approved budgets
  • Function as the subject matter expert for electrical/electronic products to provide support and guidance to the global engineering organization. Act as the primary liaison with certifying agencies as necessary.
  • Verify applicable global certification requirements and ensure products are developed with proper certifications for the markets where they are to be sold.
  • Provide mechanical engineering support and guidance when needed for the engineering team.
  • Lead and nurture engineers, empowering them to function as a high-performance team by setting clear expectations, instilling a culture of ownership and accountability, and coaching/supporting growth challenges and opportunities
  • Consistently share information with team, stakeholders, and leadership to reach and maintain alignment
  • Engage others, promote, and participate in Environmental, Health, and Safety initiatives, focusing on continuous improvement.


Requirements:


  • Minimum of five (5) years in the related area as an individual contributor
  • At least one to three (1-3) years supervisory experience is a must
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent practical experience
  • Strong mechanical engineering knowledge
    and skills

  • Extensive knowledge of electrical/electronic design
    and applicable global certification requirements

  • Strong interpersonal and facilitation skills
  • Excellent organization and multi-tasking abilities with the ability to resolve conflicting priorities
  • Ability to effectively plan and organize projects and manage priorities
  • Acute attention to detail and deadlines

Travel and Work Arrangements


  • This position is based onsite in Burbank, CA

Pay Range: The base pay range for California in this role, excluding incentive, is $138,000.00 - $160,000. This position is LIP (Local Incentive Plan) eligible up to 4%. The pay range considers a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skills; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and geographic location. The Hired applicant will be eligible to receive annual bonuses (discretionary/nondiscretionary) and incentive compensation. The disclosed pay range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled.
