GENERAL SUMMARY: This is an entry level position. Under direct supervision of leadership, performs a variety of tasks to support clinical workflow. PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Complete necessary office tasks such as faxing, filing, sorting, printing, paperwork, mailing letters, etc. Receive phone calls from patients, and enter them into Epic in-basket as appropriate Schedule appointments Call patients for appointment reminder and outreach for tests due Act as a runner/courier Escort patient to destinations within clinic Round in lobby Maintain examination/treatment rooms, including room turnover Inventory/stocking of supplies and equipment Other duties as assigned Shift Hours: Mon - Fri - Day: 9:30am -6:00 pm (No Weekends) Pay: $16.50 / hr (flat rate with benefits) Job Address / Location: 100% on site 2799 W Grand Blvd, Detroit, MI 48202 EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: High school diploma and/or G.E.D. equivalent. Basic computer knowledge and keyboarding skills. Basic medical terminology knowledge preferred. PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORKING CONDITIONS: Normal office environment with minimal exposure to noise, dust, or extreme temperatures. Works in a patient care setting with possible exposure to communicable diseases. Manual dexterity required to complete performance of duties. Walks, stands, stoops, and may require some heavy lifting of patients and/or equipment.
