Job Description:

As a Security Professional - Dispatch Patrol in Columbia, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more .

As a Dispatch Officer with Allied Universal at a government location, you will play a key role in maintaining a secure environment for all staff and visitors. Your responsibilities will include monitoring communications, coordinating responses to incidents, and supporting field personnel through timely and accurate information relay. You will help to deter security-related incidents by maintaining a strong presence and providing exceptional customer service. This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to remain calm under pressure. Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $17.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Monitor and manage communications for the location, including receiving and dispatching calls for assistance as needed.
• Maintain accurate logs and records of all communications and incidents.
• Coordinate with on-site personnel and law enforcement as required to help to deter unauthorized activities.
• Conduct regular and random checks of surveillance systems and/or alarm panels as assigned.
• Support Allied Universal and client staff by relaying important information and following established protocols.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
