Overview
The Financial Services Division of the Agency of Administration (AoA) is seeking a Financial Manager II that has demonstrated leadership skills and high-level financial management and accounting experience. The Financial Services Division is a hard-working group that provides comprehensive financial accounting and budgetary services to 16 of the State of Vermont's largest Departments, Boards, Commissions and Offices. In addition, we provide financial consulting services on several ongoing new statewide projects and initiatives to include but not limited to Workday Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and the VTBuys new purchasing system. A self-motivated and well-rounded leader and supervisor with excellent communication and project management skills who is detail oriented will be a great fit for this position. While VISION system (or other accounting system) experience is desired, we are also looking for a creative and motivated team player with strong demonstrated leadership and supervisory skills who champions the importance of continuous improvement. Work is performed in a standard office setting. Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in accounting or a bachelor's degree in any discipline that includes or is supplemented by 20 credit hours in accounting AND two (2) years or more of professional level accounting, budgeting, fiscal auditing, fiscal analysis, federal program fiscal administration or other professional level fiscal operations experience which has included experience managing programs, funding sources or staff. OR Bachelor's degree in any discipline AND four (4) years or more of professional level accounting, budgeting, fiscal auditing, fiscal analysis, federal program fiscal administration or other professional level fiscal operations experience which has included experience managing programs, funding sources or staff. OR Associate's degree AND six (6) years or more of professional level accounting, budgeting, fiscal auditing, fiscal analysis, federal program fiscal administration or other professional level fiscal operations experience which has included experience managing programs, funding sources or staff. OR High School diploma AND eight (8) years or more of professional level accounting, budgeting, fiscal auditing, fiscal analysis, federal program fiscal administration or other professional level fiscal operations experience which has included experience managing programs, funding sources or staff. OR One year as a Financial Manager I with the State of Vermont. OR Certification as a CPA. Special Requirements
For some positions experience working with the VISION system (VISION is the State of Vermont PeopleSoft financial management system) may be required. Total Compensation
