Must be open to working days, nights, and weekends (typically 10-12 hours/day; 3-4 times/week). Overtime will be paid at 1.5x. Description TEKsystems is seeking individuals with electrical, mechanical, or HVAC experience to build out teams of Data Center Engineers in Sterling, VA. The Facility Data Center Technical Operations Engineer will operate and manage both routine and emergency services on a variety of critical systems such as switchgear generators, UPS systems power distribution equipment, chillers, cooling towers, computer room air handlers, and building monitoring systems etc. Must be able to work with hand and power tools to support the building of server racks. The Data Center Technical Operations Engineer (Facility) will be responsible for Data Center Engineering Operations within an large Data Center including risk management and mitigation corrective and preventative maintenance of critical infrastructure vendor management and metric reporting. Responsibilities: Establish performance benchmarks conduct analyses and prepare reports on all aspects of the critical facility operations and maintenance. Work with IT managers and other business leaders to coordinate projects manage capacity and optimize plant safety performance reliability and efficiency. Responsible for asset and inventory management. May assist in the design and build out of new facilities. May assist in projects to increase current facility efficiency. Assist in recruiting efforts Deliver quality service and ensure all customer demands are met Basic Qualifications: 2+ years of relevant work experience. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Strong leadership and organizational skills. Strong attention to detail. Ability to prioritize in complex fast-paced environment. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelors Degree or Technical Military/ Trade School Degree and relevant experience. Skills HVAC, critical facilities, electrical, mechanical, refrigeration Additional Skills & Qualifications Daily Schedule: split, some will be front half with every other Wednesday and some will be back half with every other Wednesday Work Holidays? Yes when necessary Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $44.00/hr.
