Job Title: Inbound Customer Service Representative & Outbound Collector

Location(s): Ankeny, IA

Job Summary:

The Credit & Collections Representative will be responsible for managing inbound and outbound customer interactions related to payments, credit decisions, and account resolutions. This role requires strong customer service skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work within established credit and collections guidelines to support business goals.

Key Responsibilities:

Inbound Customer Service:



  • Answer inbound phone calls from internal and external customers.
  • Process customer payments accurately and efficiently.
  • Make credit release decisions in line with established procedures.
  • Refer customer disputes to field personnel for resolution.
  • Escalate customer disputes and collections issues when necessary.
  • Assist the team in meeting inbound service level standards.


Collections & Credit Management:


  • Investigate and analyze credit information within company guidelines.
  • Contact customers regarding delinquent payments and assist in collections of past due accounts.
  • Make payment arrangements with customers on delinquent accounts.
  • Perform credit limit assessments for accounts.
  • Work a set number of accounts daily and document all collection efforts.
  • Meet monthly goals (e.g., reduce DSO, decrease over 30/60/90-day past due buckets).
  • Participate in or lead monthly conference calls with Field staff (Territory Managers, General Sales Managers, Order-to-Cash Champions, etc.).


Qualifications:


  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Accurate typing and data entry skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload.
  • Prior experience in credit, collections, or customer account management preferred.
