Reporting to and functioning under the general supervision of the Supervisor, the MRI Technologist prepares for and operates a MRI Scanner following specific physician orders. Produces detailed computer generated scans of patients for diagnostic and interventional information. Assists patients onto scanner after reviewing the MRI safety checklist, verifies patient identification prior to scan, selects patient from worklist, ensures exam is archived on the PACS and completed properly in the RIS. Maintains facilities in proper order. Must keep abreast of all new MRI procedures. Shift time: Mon -Fri 7am-3:30pm every 3rd weekend and 1 holiday a year and on-call is a must EDUCATION: Specialty registry in MRI thru the ARRT.
