Senior Research Analyst/Specialist Information Technology

This position requires an active TS/Sensitive Compartmental Information (SCI) clearance with the ability to obtain a Counterintelligence polygraph to be considered.

A government contract requires that this position be restricted to U.S. citizens or legal permanent residents. You must provide documentation that you are a U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident to qualify.

Conducts classified and unclassified research, document technical and non-technical vulnerabilities, and mitigations of acquisitions, including products, manufacturers, resellers, transportation, and service providers.

Compensation & Benefits:

Estimated Starting Salary Range for Senior Research Analyst/Specialist Information Technology: $125,000-$135,000

Pay commensurate with experience.

Full time benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, and other possible benefits as provided. Benefits are subject to change with or without notice.

Senior Research Analyst/Specialist Information Technology Responsibilities Include:

  • Conduct assessment of the hazards, vulnerabilities, and mitigations to estimate the probability of the risk occurring and the consequences of the risk occurring to the mission
  • Assess and document technical and non-technical vulnerabilities and mitigations of an acquisition; includes products, manufacturers, resellers, transportation, and service providers
  • Provide risk reduction recommendations as appropriate
  • Delivers senior technical expertise to include subject matter expert review of technology, technical guidance, and risk mitigation documentation
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned

Senior Research Analyst/Specialist Information Technology Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested:

  • Active TS/SCI with the ability to obtain a Counterintelligence polygraph
  • Current Counterintelligence polygraph preferred
  • Minimum of ten (10) years of cumulative experience in information technology or a cybersecurity discipline to include: systems risk management, developed understanding of networking, operating system and applications, vulnerability management and analysis, development of technical mitigations, IT based SCRM experience
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, technology or related STEM field
  • Knowledge of DoD processes and terminology
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office tools.
  • Demonstrates ability to work independently without oversight and direction.
  • Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal
