Job Summary and Responsibilities

Job Summary:

The Monitoring Assistant supports the execution of programmatic monitoring reviews for the New York State Early Intervention Program (NYEIP). This role assists in the preparation, documentation, and follow-up of monitoring activities to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations. The Monitoring Assistant works closely with Monitoring Coordinators and Reviewers to ensure timely and accurate review processes.

Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate closely with team members to streamline scheduling and implementation of monitoring reviews.
  • Coordinate closely with providers and municipalities during the monitoring review process.
  • Prepare and organize documentation for pre-review activities.
  • Support the review of provider files, including child records, personnel files, and policies.
  • Enter and maintain monitoring data in tracking systems.
  • Provide administrative support to the monitoring team as needed.
  • Track submission and review of Corrective Action Plans (CAPs) and Required Evidence of Correction (REC).
  • Participate in quality assurance activities to ensure adherence to standards.
  • Support the team in continuous improvement initiatives related to monitoring procedures.
  • Actively engage in training and development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge relevant to monitoring responsibilities.
  • Read, understand, and adhere to all corporate policies including policies related to HIPAA and its Privacy and Security Rules.

Work schedule - Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM until 5:00 PM within the Time Zone where the selected candidate resides.


Qualifications

Required Qualifications/Experience:
  • Associate's degree (or higher level of education) in health and human services OR 2+ years of experience in public health or early childhood education.
  • 1+ years of experience in administrative support, compliance, or quality assurance (healthcare or early childhood preferred).

Preferred Qualifications/Experience:

  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote environment.
