We are seeking a highly skilled and collaborative Business Systems Consultant III to join our Finance Agile Release Train, where you'll play a pivotal role in bridging business needs with technical solutions across actuarial, financial, and regulatory domains. This role combines deep business acumen with agile product ownership, applying methodologies and techniques to enhance the quality, efficiency, and effectiveness of transactional accounting processes within vendor financial systems, including invoice processing, payment workflows, and reconciliation activities.

  • Estimated Salary: $105,000-$120,000, plus annual bonus opportunity.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:



  • Serve as a Product Owner within a SAFe Agile team, collaborating with business partners and stakeholders to prioritize work in a matrix environment.
  • Facilitate iteration planning, backlog refinement, and system demos, while driving continuous improvement and sharing knowledge across cross-functional teams.
  • Lead the definition and refinement of business requirements for transactional financial accounting for enterprise business processes and compliance.
  • Lead efforts and consult within and across operations to positively impact current and to be processes, while making recommendations for improvement.
  • Associates in this position will travel occasionally (approximately 5-10% annually) to attend Finance and Actuarial activities such as conferences, collaboration sessions or team building meetings. This expectation applies to both local and remote employees, with travel expenses reimbursed in accordance with company policy.



WHAT YOU'LL BRING:



  • Strong knowledge of finance and/or accounting practices, preferably in the insurance industry.
  • Ability to build relationships through maintaining networks of contacts who are useful in achieving business results.
  • Ability to adapt and work effectively with a variety of situations, individuals or groups.
  • Ability to break down more complex problems into systematic parts for resolution.
  • Excellent communication skills, including nonverbal, verbal, and written, for effective interaction with various stakeholders and business partners.
  • Ability to travel occasionally (approximately 5-10% annually) to attend Finance and Actuarial events (travel reimbursed).

  • Able to work remotely with access to a high-speed internet connection and located in the United States or Puerto Rico.



PREFERRED:



  • Bachelor's degree in finance and/or accounting.
  • Financial Acumen: Demonstrated expertise in analyzing financial or insurance data, with the ability to translate complex business requirements.
  • Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Strong background in data analysis, validation, and reconciliation, with the ability to identify gaps, troubleshoot issues, and recommend process improvements across cross-functional teams.
  • Agile Collaboration and Communication: Demonstrated success operating in Agile environments, including experience collaborating with product owners, business partners, stakeholders, and technical teams to support business goals and objectives.
