This position is full-time (40 hours/week) Monday - Friday. Employees are required to have flexibility to work on any of our 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of 8:30 am-5:00 pm CST. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime. This is a remote US position.

We offer 4 weeks of training. The hours during training will be 8:00am to 4:30pm CST, Monday - Friday.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Answer incoming phone calls from customers and identify the type of assistance the customer needs for consumer driven health and flex spending accounts.
  • Ask appropriate questions and listen actively to identify specific questions or issues while documenting required information in computer systems
  • Own problem through to resolution on behalf of the customer in real time or through comprehensive and timely follow-up with the member
  • Review and research incoming consumer driven health claims from members by navigating multiple computer systems and platforms and verifying the data/information necessary for processing
  • Ensure that the proper benefits are applied to each claim by using the appropriate processes and procedures
  • Communicate and collaborate with members and providers to resolve issues, using clear, simple language to ensure understanding
  • Meet the performance goals established for the position in the areas of efficiency, accuracy, quality, member satisfaction and attendance

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma / GED OR equivalent work experience
  • Must be 18 years of age OR older
  • 2+ years of combined education, work and/or volunteer experience.
  • All new hires will be required to successfully complete the Customer Service training classes and demonstrate proficiency of the material
  • Ability to work full-time (40 hours/week) Monday - Friday. Preferred Qualifications:

  • Customer Service experience
  • Experience working in a professional environment utilizing both telephone and computer systems to perform daily tasks

Telecommuting Requirements:

  • Ability to keep all company sensitive documents secure (if applicable)
  • Required to have a dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy.
  • Must live in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service.

Soft Skills:

  • Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision, demonstrating strong time management, problem-solving skills, and accountability in completing tasks efficiently and accurately

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The hourly pay for this role will range from $17.74 - $31.63 per hour based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
