What to Expect
The Inventory Control Analyst for the Gigafactory Nevada (GFNV) Inventory Control team will be driving inventory accuracy in support of lean manufacturing principles, uninterrupted production, and audit compliance.The role requires a broad understanding of material flow, supply chain concepts, and ERP systems. The ideal candidate will work cross-functionally with multiple departments such as Production Control, Logistics, Material Planning, Operations, Finance, Accounting, Quality, and Facilities to solve challenging problems and system limitations impacting productivity.The candidate will be responsible for all GFNV activities related to collecting, analyzing, and reporting on key performance indicators including developing dashboards, scorecards, forecasting, trending, tracking results, and executive presentations for the purposes of supporting operational excellence, management intelligence for effective decision-making and overall tracking of business performance. This job consults with cross-functional groups and levels to identify data and analytical needs, conduct analyses, review analyses and findings with leadership, facilitate related process/data improvement efforts, and develop executive level presentations.
What You'll Do
- Review cost/accuracy analysis on a regular basis and as needed, work with various departments to collect source data; design and build analyses/trending/forecasting reports using Excel or other technology; and publishes metrics dashboards and executive presentations. Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets
- Develop processes, tools, and templates to enable efficient, accurate and standardized data analyses and related deliverables, leverage automation to greatest extent possible. Develop and implement data collection systems and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and data quality
- Ensure consistency and accuracy of information and reporting by identifying issues and fluctuations with core metrics/key performance indicators (KPIs), facilitate changes; research questions; participate and/or lead process and data improvement efforts
- Maintain effective communication with internal organizations, external partners, and internal staff. Structure and present complex subjects in a meaningful and comprehensible manner
- Develop work plans to meet deadlines, accurately estimate completion dates, and communicate status
- Work closely with management to prioritize business and information needs

What You'll Bring
- Degree in Finance or Accounting, related experience in an analytical or inventory role, or equivalent experience
- Strong analytical ability - must be able to synthesize data, be able to error check and reconcile own work and be able to design analysis to answer specific questions
- Strong Excel and Word skills, as well as ability to learn multiple back-end software applications (i.e., FX, Warp, MFS); Microsoft Office applications especially and advanced Excel skills, including Macros, Filters, V-Lookups, Pivot Tables, etc.; be able to work with ERP systems; understanding how to write queries; strong aptitude to learn new systems and system functions; create reports utilizing SQL data pull from the internal data source to report out internal metrics to finance
- Strong understanding of Raw Materials, Work-In-Process (WIP), Subassemblies and Finish Goods
- Ability to interact with all levels within the organization and handle matters professionally
- Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy are essential; ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
