CEVA Freight LLC in Houston, TX seeks a Senior Pricing Analyst.

YOUR ROLE

Responsible for negotiating with air carriers to secure most competitive rate and service as part of overall global air core carrier strategy.

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?




  • Provide rates to internal customers in timely manner.
  • Complete related carrier strategy and tracking projects as required.
  • Function as lead to other analysts and specialists in department.
  • Analyze Request for Quote material from internal customers to determine structure for strategy to support business need from Air Product perspective.
  • Develop strategy and negotiate with air carriers to secure most competitive rate for specific trade lanes.
  • Present strategy with industry trend background information to upper management and final rate to upper management for approval.
  • Prepare and file contracts internally and with FMC, ensuring all applicable steps and back-up material are in order.
  • Utilize internal systems (rate tables, contract management systems, etc.) to retrieve current and benchmark requests for new air rates.
  • Complete carriers spend tracking and global carrier strategy projects in a timely manner.
  • Serve as Subject Matter Expert in area of responsibility for relevant industry trends including carrier rate actions, general rate increases (GRls) and fuel, which influences rates.
  • Integrate air carrier supply and demand, competitor actions and other capacity related factors into rate decisions.
  • Prepare and update carrier profiles and matrix reports in support of global core and/or project carrier strategy and carrier management.
  • Work closely as member of Corporate Team with Business Development personnel.
  • Function as lead to other analysts and specialists in the department.
  • Keep abreast of emerging technology changes and innovations through formal or informal study, reading business and professional publications, networking, and participation in professional organizations.



WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR?

Education and Experience




  • Bachelors in International Business, Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain or related field of study.
  • Three (3) years of job-related experience in international air, ocean or ground transportation pricing, procurement or sourcing of transport, logistics or supply chain management, based on knowledge of relevant industry trends and strategies in negotiating competitive rates.
  • 10 % Domestic Travel Required.
