Splunk Developer, Senior

The Opportunity:

Are you looking for an opportunity to share your experience in threat detection, implementing enterprise-scale security monitoring, and identifying data-driven solutions to help protect the nation's public health infrastructure? We need your experience to lead the development and implementation of Splunk-based solutions that will strengthen critical infrastructure.

On our team, you'll troubleshoot and analyze complex challenges for customers using your knowledge of enterprise monitoring tools, network infrastructure, and security applications. You'll use your curiosity for technology and market trends to further research and develop scalable cybersecurity solutions.

Serving as a Splunk IT Service Intelligence (ITSI) Developer, you will be responsible for supporting the development and maintenance of Splunk ITSI dashboards, Glass Tables, KPIs, and correlation searches. You will also assist in onboarding data sources, monitoring environments, and supporting ITSI-based service models. You will collaborate with mid- and senior-level developers to deliver Splunk ITSI solutions aligned with federal mission requirements. Due to the nature of work performed within this facility, U.S. citizenship is required.

You Have:

• 5+ years of experience with Splunk Enterprise in a development or engineering role
• Experience with Splunk ITSI, including creation of services, KPIs, and glass tables
• Experience creating custom dashboards, reports, and alerts tailored to mission requirements
• Experience with data onboarding into Splunk, including field extractions, parsing, and normalization
• Experience with federal data governance, compliance, and security frameworks such as FISMA, NIST, and FedRAMP
• Knowledge of Search Processing Language (SPL) for advanced search queries, correlation, and optimization
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business and mission needs into technical Splunk solutions
• IRS Moderate Risk Background Investigation (IRS MBI)
• HS diploma or GED

Nice If You Have:

• Experience with Python, Shell, or PowerShell scripting for Splunk automation and custom integrations
• Experience with AWS or other cloud environments and their integration with Splunk
• Experience developing or maintaining Splunk apps or add-ons
• Experience supporting a federal government program or agency in a Splunk-focused role
• Experience with AppDynamics or OpsBridge Manager
• Knowledge of ITIL processes and applying Splunk ITSI to service management workflows
• Knowledge of Linux and Windows systems
• Bachelor's degree
• Splunk Core Consultant or Splunk ITSI Certified Admin Certification

Vetting:

Applicants selected must possess an active IRS Moderate Risk Background Investigation (IRS MBI) and meet eligibility requirements of the U.S. government client; IRS MBI is required.
