Your Role on Our Team:

As a DataOps Data Engineer II, you will play a key role in designing, building, and maintaining robust data pipelines and architectures that drive our analytics and business intelligence initiatives. You'll work hands-on with modern data engineering tools and cloud platforms, ensuring data quality, reliability, and operational excellence. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams, contribute to Agile processes, and help foster a data-driven culture across the organization.

You'll be DISRUPTIVE through these duties and responsibilities:

  • Ensure data quality, governance, and security standards are consistently upheld.
  • Provide first level support for data pipelines and infrastructure, resolving issues and escalating as needed.
  • Monitor and maintain data workflows to ensure timely and accurate delivery of data to stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with data engineering teams to understand data needs and troubleshoot issues.
  • Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for data operations using Azure DevOps and Git.
  • Document support procedures and contribute to knowledge base articles for common issues.
  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines using SQL, Python, and Spark.
  • Seek to understand business requirements and processes.
  • Contribute reliably to Agile ceremonies and improve accuracy in estimating user stories and tasks.
  • Demonstrate a growth mindset by introducing innovative ideas and influencing team practices to improve outcomes.

Performs other duties as assigned.

The TOOLS you'll bring with you:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Basic to intermediate programming skills in SQL, Python, and Spark; builds unit-tested, maintainable code with good accuracy.
  • Experience running and executing CI/CD pipelines and deployment best practices in an enterprise system.
  • Clear understanding of dimensional and data vault models.
  • Strong written, verbal, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in SDLC practices and tools such as GIT, Azure DevOps.
  • Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Other TOOLS we prefer you to have:

  • Experience working in a multi-cloud environment.
  • Knowledge of advanced analytics and machine-learning techniques and technology.
  • Familiarity with reporting solutions such as Power BI.
  • Experience with Azure Synapse, Fabric and ADF.
