The Alaka`ina Foundation Family of Companies is looking for a Part-Time ArcGIS Dashboard Designer to support our government customer remotely. This position supports the Forest Service Forest Health Assessment and Applied Sciences Team (FHAAST).

DESCRIPTION OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Content design, creation, and maintenance support for interactive web content including Hub sites, Story Maps, and Dashboards, using Esri App Builders COTS products.
  • Ensuring the content is easily accessible and understandable is paramount.
  • All content, where possible, shall follow Section 508 guidelines.
  • Using tabular, spatial data, and trend information about forest insect and disease conditions, create new content for environments, such as AGOL.
  • Design and build these interactive web apps, according to written documentation of the requirements by the COR and Government PM.
  • Incorporate and connect various data sources, 2D and 3D maps, and other ArcGIS apps (like Dashboards or Story Maps) into single, cohesive web experiences.
  • Utilize and configure a wide range of widgets to add functionality to the applications and apply custom themes for branding.
  • Design applications with a strong focus on user experience, ensuring they are intuitive and accessible.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

REQUIRED DEGREE/EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:

BS in GIS, information services / technology or a related field

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum of four (4) years' experience in using Esri Builder Apps-ArcGIS Story Maps, ArcGIS Dashboards, and ArcGIS Experience Builder to create informative and dynamic custom web apps.
  • Federal or DoD experience preferred.

REQUIRED CITIZENSHIP AND CLEARANCE:

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen and able to complete a background investigation.
  • Public Trust Clearance
