Job Summary
The Shipping and Receiving Associate is responsible for performing functional warehouse tasks related to shipping, receiving, material handling, and inventory control. This position ensures all materials, supplies, and equipment are accurately prepared, processed, and distributed in accordance with company procedures and quality standards. The role requires attention to detail, computer proficiency, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining compliance with safety and regulatory requirements. Job Responsibilities
Receive incoming materials, verify accuracy against documentation, and store items appropriately in the warehouse
Accurately prepare and process customer orders for shipment following established procedures
Package materials securely using appropriate packing methods and fill empty spaces to ensure product protection during transit
Label and meter packages using various freight systems and ensure all shipments are accurately documented
Process orders and inventory transactions using the SAP system
Perform daily material handling tasks to maintain accurate and timely inventory flow
Prepare for next-day distribution activities and ensure readiness for operational demands
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment consistent with company and OSHA standards
Support divisional initiatives related to Quality Management Systems (QMS), Environmental Health Systems (EHS), and other applicable regulatory programs
Perform duties in compliance with all company policies and governmental regulations
Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure accuracy and efficiency in all warehouse operations
Job Requirements
1 to 3 years of experience in shipping, receiving, or related warehouse operations required
Strong attention to detail with ability to maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment
Basic computer skills required; experience with SAP preferred
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently or collaboratively within a team setting
Reliable and consistent attendance required
Ability to work overtime, including weekends and holidays, as business needs require
Commitment to maintaining a clean, safe, and organized workspace
Additional Job Details
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Work Environment: Warehouse and distribution setting
Must adhere to all safety, quality, and regulatory requirements
