What to Expect

We're on a mission to accelerate the world's transition to sustainable energy, and we need your help. As a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer on the Tesla App team, you'll play a crucial role in shaping the future of the electric grid and making renewable energy accessible to everyone.

The Tesla App is the heartbeat of our ecosystem, seamlessly connecting Solar, Powerwall, Home Charging, and Vehicle products to revolutionize how the world uses energy.

With the Tesla App, we tell the story of the future of the grid. Our goal is to make the concepts of renewable energy friendly, simple, and understandable for everybody, while also offering surprising depth for power users. For example, with Charge Stats our feature for evaluating the cost of charging your Tesla vehicle-we help owners understand the basics of EV charging, along with the money saved by switching to an EV. We support utility grids worldwide with our Virtual Power Plants to unlock extra value for Powerwall owners and that improve the stability of the grid for everyone. Our app home screen features rich 3D visuals that show what your home is doing in real time-drawing the wires to show you what your home is powered by right now and how much power you're using. And at the end of the year, Tesla Recharged summarizes your system's impact in an art-directed story-based experience.

The Tesla App is built with TypeScript, React Native, and the Godot 3D Engine. We partner closely with our hardware, firmware, software, and cloud teams as we build sophisticated products and shape the future of the electric grid. We move quickly with an emphasis on data contracts via protocol buffers to build synchronously with other teams.

Our team thrives on unbreakable work ethic, empathetic vibes, and collaborative spirit-fueled by creativity, passion, and a relentless drive to pioneer in an ever-evolving tech frontier.
