Job Description

Position Summary:

The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for the Maintenance Department and reports to the Director of Machining and Continuous Improvement. This individual will supervise employees who install, maintain, and repair industrial processing and manufacturing equipment. Responsible for overall facilities maintenance and planning, including but not limited to grounds and permitting, machine and tooling upkeep and janitorial services.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Direct, coordinate, and supervise the activities of Maintenance team
  • Provide leadership and technical direction to allow team to improve according to key departmental metrics
  • Create a positive working environment which is committed to excellence, by demonstrating personal commitment to these ideals
  • Work as the primary point of contact for managing building, grounds services, and external maintenance contractors/vendors.
  • Work with appropriate IT/Production personnel to implement and maintain necessary resources (tools, PCs, floor space, etc.)
  • Work with Supervisors to coordinate interdependent operations and activities
  • Plan and establish work schedules, assignments, and resources to meet production requirements
  • Work with reporting Manager and HR on personnel issues
  • Partner with Safety and Human Resources to ensure Environmental, Health and Safety compliance. Maintain tracking and documentation for Hazardous Waste Compliance
  • Champion Six Sigma and facilitate Lean initiatives
  • May occasionally perform special projects; Perform other duties as assigned

Required Skills:

  • Knowledge of materials, methods, and the tools involved in the manufacture of Primus products
  • Knowledge of equipment design and use including routine maintenance, repair, refurbishment, calibration, installation/deinstallation, and disposal techniques
  • Knowledge of people, material, and equipment resource allocation, human resource policies and benefits, leadership, teaming, production methods, and expert level understanding and use of ERP/MRP and related systems
  • Familiar with manufacturing work, safety, and hazard conditions and be able to work safely around high dollar value equipment and customer parts
  • Knowledge of Environmental, Health and Safety compliance
  • Motivate, develop, and direct people as they work, identifying the best people for the job
  • Consider costs and benefits of potential actions
  • Proactive communicator who can clearly articulate results and needs across all levels
  • Able to establish and communicate clear priorities and to influence others to support and act on those priorities
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines

Experience & Education

  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • 3-5 years Maintenance or related experience
  • 1-2 years in Leadership role

For informational purposes only, the range of pay for this role is $97800 to $130000 US Dollar (USD) Salaried based on a variety of factors. For informational purposes only, this role is eligible to participate in the Company's Quarterly Cash Bonus Plan, paid out at the quarterly bonus factor of 2X the Company's bonus multiple, based on the Company's performance in the applicable quarter . Employees will receive 120 hours paid time off every year. Employees will also receive 10 paid holidays. Employees (and their families) are eligible to participate in the company's medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance. Employees are eligible to enroll in the Company's 401(k) plan.
