Acara Solutions seeks highly qualified candidates to work onsite with our client in Oldsmar, FL. Interested?

Here's what you'd do:

  • Use a microscope to verify correct part placement and orientation, manually align parts before soldering, and perform post-re-flow inspection and touch-up.
  • Identify and touch up poor wetted solder joints, solder voids / insufficient solder, solder shorts/ bridges, misaligned parts/leads, tombstone or billboarded components, and any other solder defects that may occur during the SMT operation.

Here's what you'll get:

Pay: $18.00- $30.00/hr.

Hours: 4/10-1st Shift.

Length: Temp (12 Months).

Job Requirements
Required Skills / Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum 5 years of experience using rework equipment such as hot air pencils, hot plates, and BGA removal (ERSA or other OEM)
  • Minimum 5 years of experience with reviewing boards under X-ray to identify solder defects on bottom terminated components
  • Minimum 5 years of experience with surface mount components
  • Minimum 5 years of soldering manufacturing experience
Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
  • IPC-610 Certification
  • IPC J-STD-001 Certification
  • Experience running, soldering, and tacking down jumper wires on re-design boards
  • Experience in using a Microscope to assemble components
  • Experience with visual acuity in working with microscopes
  • Experience with detailed spray-painting techniques
  • Ability to read and interpret technical prints and specifications.
  • Good computer literacy for documentation and machine operation.
  • Knowledge of various coating materials and their applications.
  • High attention to detail and ability to perform precision touch-ups.
  • Positive attitude, dependability, and a commitment to quality.

  • Familiar with using Automated Optical Inspection (AOI) equipment to aid in identifying solder defects and understand what are false calls vs. real calls or issues
  • Be able to read instructions and identify standard SMT components.
  • Able to read/write English.
