What to Expect As a Mechanical Design Engineer at Tesla, you will be responsible for designing and building prototype models to support vehicle occupant packaging and ergonomics development. These could range from individual components to complete vehicle interior mockups.Our goal is to create and validate the customer experience long before first prototypes are made. We work fast and efficiently under tight timelines while retaining quality and accuracy.The role will require a high level of collaboration with the design, engineering, and fabrication teams. The ability to fit into small and highly motivated multi-functional teams is essential. The role offers a rare opportunity to participate in the development of new and genuinely cutting-edge vehicles, so enthusiasm for and knowledge of vehicles is advantageous. You must have a genuine passion for engineering the best electric vehicles in the world.
