Job Title:
Electrical Engineer, Lead
Job Description:
Entegris is seeking a motivated Electrical Engineer to join a dynamic team responsible for particle analyzer and concentration monitor products in Bloomington, MN as part of the Scientific Instrument Business Unit within Entegris' Advanced Purity Solutions Division. Our products measure, monitor, and move ultra-pure chemistries at the heart of leading-edge semiconductor manufacturing. Whether it's detecting single particles in aggressive media, monitoring trace concentrations, or dispensing and metering fluids with high accuracy and repeatability, every unit we ship has to perform for years in fab environments full of EMI, vibration, and chemically harsh conditions. As Lead Electrical Engineer, you are the technical owner of the electrical platform underneath that entire portfolio - for products in the field today and the next generation in development.
Electrical architecture across the product portfolio - particle counters, concentration monitors, dispense pumps, flowmeters and flow controllers - including analog front-ends, mixed-signal acquisition, power, motor drive and motion control, sensing, and I/O. Design authority on schematics, multilayer PCB stackups, signal and power integrity, EMC strategy, and hardware bring-up. You set the standards; you sign off on releases. Cross-product platform thinking - driving reuse of common electrical building blocks (controllers, drives, comms, power, sensor interfaces) across instruments and fluid-handling products. Technical direction through phase-gate NPI - from concept and prototype through DV/PV, regulatory certification, and transfer to manufacturing. Mentorship of EEs and cross-functional partners (mechanical, firmware, controls, optics, fluidics, manufacturing, suppliers). You are the EE voice in architecture and design reviews. Sustaining leadership for fielded products: root-cause complex electromechanical, motion-control, and signal-integrity issues and drive design changes that stick.
BSEE or BSECE and 6+ years designing production electronics for instruments. Experience in industrial equipment, medical devices, or similar high-reliability industry. Demonstrated ownership of a product's electrical architecture from concept through volume manufacturing. Strong knowledge of analog and/or mixed signal design and LTSpice, or similar, modeling software Experienced in designing electronics for electromechanical systems used in position sensing, valves and actuators. Experienced in PCB design (preferably in Altium), layout review, and DFM. Hands-on experience in hardware bring-up and debug using oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers and other lab equipment Experience integrating electrical subsystems with mechanical/fluidic assemblies and embedded software or similarly complex systems Track record leading NPI projects and influencing teams across engineering, manufacturing, and suppliers.
Nice To Have
Experience with low-noise analog front-end design (analog signal shaping) Experience with digital design (microcontrollers, DACs, FPGAs) Familiarity with opto-electronic designs and devices (lasers, photodetectors) Experience with fluid-handling products - pumps, flowmeters, mass flow controllers, pressure/level sensing - or wet-chemistry systems. EMC-by-design experience: filtering, shielding, grounding, layout practices; comfortable running and interpreting radiated/conducted emissions and immunity testing. Familiarity with semicap, medical, or aerospace regulatory environments. Advanced degree MSEE is a plus
