What to Expect

Help Build the Physical Foundation of Autonomy. As a member of the Tesla steering firmware team, you will deliver the high-quality embedded code that controls the steering rack and feedback actuator on steer-by-wire systems-the critical lateral-control layer that turns Full Self-Driving decisions into precise, real-world vehicle motion. Your software enables the smooth, confident, and safe steering response required for unsupervised FSD, executing the autonomy stack's path with the lowest latency and highest reliability.

You will solve some of the most challenging problems spanning vehicle dynamics, motor controls, safety systems, and embedded software engineering while writing efficient, robust, and safety-critical code that works across vehicle platforms. Join a team of highly knowledgeable engineers striving to build the safest and most performant vehicle control systems in production. The intelligence of FSD is only as good as the steering systems that bring it to life-come help make autonomous vehicles a reality.
