 As a vital member of our engineering team, your day will be filled with meaningful challenges and impactful work. You might start by diving into detailed analysis and design of critical structures and components. Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, you'll ensure designs meet rigorous safety and regulatory requirements, such as seismic and environmental standards. Later, you could evaluate proposed plant modifications, ensuring that every change upholds safety and compliance. Your afternoon might involve preparing in-depth technical reports, design calculations, and specifications, all while effectively communicating findings to key stakeholders. Every task you tackle contributes directly to the safety, reliability, and innovation of our client facilities. You will also need to: 
     Collaborate Across Disciplines: Work seamlessly with professionals from various engineering fields, ensuring smooth coordination and integration of designsLead Design Initiatives: Develop innovative design studies, craft comprehensive project scopes, and produce accurate engineering estimatesInnovate Solutions: Tackle complex technical challenges with fresh ideas and creative problem-solving strategiesEngage in Field Operations: Embrace opportunities to travel, participate in site walkdowns, oversee field installations, and support system start-upsInspire Teams: Lead by example, motivating teams to achieve ambitious goals with a positive, results-driven attitude and effective leadership #LI-AS1Qualifications
 
 
     Bachelor's Degree in Civil Structural Engineering from an accredited university or equivalent training, education and experienceMinimum of 10 years of power system design experience in the Nuclear or Power IndustryExperience in one of the following industries required: engineering/design services, power generation, nuclear power, heavy industrial including chemical or pulp & paper, and government (DOE) projectsDemonstrated proficiency in preparation of structural calculations is desiredKnowledge of discipline-specific computer analysis codes as well as standard office production softwareProficient in Word and ExcelFamiliar with the International Building code and building code designGood writing, presentation, and communication skillsAbility to be an individual contributor and work effectively in teamsFamiliar with concrete and steel design codes and with working stress and ultimate strength design approachesCandidates who have mentorship experience or a desire to mentor early to mid career engineers preferredMust be able to get badged at a nuclear facilityMust be able to perform plant walkdownsPay Range
