The Director, Marketing Communications will play a pivotal role in advancing Belden's reputation, storytelling, and growth strategy. This leader will oversee global marketing communications strategy, campaigns, and content development to strengthen Belden's position as a trusted leader in signal transmission, networking solutions, and IT/OT convergence. The role combines strategic planning, narrative-driven content creation, and cross-functional leadership to ensure that Belden's voice is consistent, compelling, and aligned to the company's transformation strategy.

Purpose of the Role

Concentrates on developing and conveying Belden's corporate global commercial storytelling to customers, partners, and the broader market to foster awareness and drive business growth.

Key Responsibilities

Storytelling & Narrative Development

• Define and champion Belden's global storytelling framework, turning business strategy and transformation themes into accessible narratives.
• Promote Belden's solutions and services by deploying compelling stories that resonate across industries, partners, and customers.
• Serve as a strategic advisor to senior leadership on corporate reputation, messaging, and thought leadership.

Strategic Communications & Campaigns

• Develop and execute integrated communications strategies and campaigns aligned to Belden's growth priorities.
• Lead campaign design and execution across digital, social, media, events, and owned channels.

Public Relations & Thought Leadership

• Design and lead Belden's global public relations strategy, ensuring strong relationships with key media outlets, journalists, analysts, and influencers.
• Drive proactive PR campaigns to build Belden's reputation as an innovator and trusted partner in IT/OT convergence, digitization, and automation.
• Oversee development of press releases, media pitches, bylined articles, and executive commentary that reinforce Belden's transformation narrative.
• Build a thought leadership engine that positions Belden executives and subject matter experts as credible voices in the industry through media, speaking engagements, and owned content.
• Ensure all PR activities reinforce Belden's strategic positioning, values, and voice while driving measurable visibility and impact.

Leadership & Collaboration

• Inspire and guide a global team of communications professionals and agency partners, fostering creativity, accountability, and measurable results.
• Partner with Innovation, HR, Investor Relations, and business segment leaders to ensure alignment of internal and external storytelling.
• Manage vendor/agency relationships, budgets, and timelines to deliver on commitments.

Crisis & Issues Management

• Provide strategic guidance on issues management and crisis communications.
• Support executive leadership in navigating sensitive communications with employees, media, and stakeholders.

Education & Experience Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or related field; Master's preferred.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in marketing communications, including at least 5 years in a leadership role.
• Proven success leading global brand and communications strategies in a complex B2B or technology environment.
• Demonstrated ability to manage agencies, budgets, and large-scale campaigns.
• Strong executive presence, writing, and presentation skills.

Applicants can expect a base compensation range of $150,000 - 198,000 annually, plus benefits and additional incentives based on the level of the role. This is the reasonable estimate that Belden believes it might pay for this job based on applicable circumstances at the time of posting. Belden may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range as permitted by law, and commensurate with the applicant's experience, qualifications, and geographical location.
