This position requires a highly reliable and versatile individual to serve as a primary Production Operator and a vital Backup
Class A Shuttle Driver. The role emphasizes safe, professional operation of a Class A commercial vehicle and dedicated productivity in the plant. When not on the road, the individual performs essential plant duties, including cylinder handling, maintenance, and quality control. This position is the critical link that maintains both operational efficiency and a seamless supply chain. Class A Shuttle Backup Driver Duties:

CDL A Driving: Safely and efficiently operate a Class A commercial motor vehicle to shuttle compressed gas cylinders, liquid cylinders, and hard-goods between branches as required.
Safety & Compliance: Conduct thorough pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections (DVIRs), adhere to all DOT, state, and federal regulations, and maintain the highest standard of safety.
Documentation: Accurately manage load manifests and all required vehicle documents.
Customer Service: Act as a professional representative of the company, communicating with branch personnel to provide crucial information and support.
Hours: Primarily Monday through Friday schedule, designed to be home most nights.

Production Operator Duties:

Cylinder Handling: Move cylinders to and from designated staging areas; load and unload cylinders onto vehicles using a forklift per driver load sheets.
Cylinder Maintenance & Inspection: Examine cylinder exteriors for surface defects (dents, cracks, burns), quarantine cylinders for further inspection, and change or adjust cylinder valves with appropriate tools.
Refurbishment: Scrape exterior of cylinders to remove labels, operate bead blaster to remove paint, clean cylinders in solution, and apply new coats of paint when needed.
Labeling & Quality Control: Fill out and attach new labels, warnings, and other identification tags or decals to cylinders, ensuring compliance standards are met.
General Operations: Move and sort materials by hand with the aid of material equipment.

We offer competitive pay that recognizes the dual expertise, critical nature, and commitment to safety required for this hybrid role starting at $27/hr.

________________________ Are you a MATCH? Required Qualifications And Competencies:

A successful candidate will possess a safety-first mindset, a strong work ethic, and the ability to seamlessly transition between driving and plant operations.

Minimum of 1 year of recent, verifiable Class A CDL driving experience is a mandatory requirement.
Must be at least 21 years of age.
A current and valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL A) is required.
Hazmat endorsement is required and the ability to obtain your Tanker endorsements contingent on an offer is needed.

Safety Awareness: Ability to identify and correct conditions that affect employee safety, especially in a loud industrial environment.
Physical Stamina: Must regularly lift up to 75 pounds and move more than 125 pounds with the aid of material handling equipment.
Reliability & Initiative: Possesses the trait of being dependable, trustworthy, and internally motivated to perform tasks to the best of one's ability.
Detail Oriented: Ability to pay attention to minute details for both vehicle logs/manifests and cylinder inspection/labeling tasks.
