MORI Associates is looking for a talented, reliable, deadline-driven Communication Strategist to join our communication team supporting the Next Gen STEM Program run out of NASA Johnson Space Center. The successful candidate will develop communication strategies and content for STEM engagement activities. The successful candidate must be detail-oriented, collaborative and committed to meeting tight deadlines.

NASA's Next Gen STEM program helps high school and community college students build the skills and confidence to pursue careers in the growing aerospace economy. We're looking for a Communications Strategist who's passionate about education, innovation, and helping students connect their learning to real NASA missions.

What You'll Do
As part of NASA's Office of STEM Engagement (OSTEM), you'll help design and deliver meaningful educational experiences and content that prepare students for future aerospace careers.

You will:
  • Develop engaging STEM learning programs (such as STEMonstrations) that bring NASA content to classrooms and inspire hands-on exploration.
  • Manage and support NASA Downlinks, connecting students with astronauts aboard the International Space Station (ISS). You'll guide schools through the application, selection, and preparation process, and coordinate with NASA teams to bring these once-in-a-lifetime experiences to life.
  • Support NASA's Aerospace Hub initiatives, helping coordinate partnerships that provide pre-apprenticeships and micro-internship opportunities for students exploring technical career pathways.
  • Facilitate Virtual Career Connections (VCCs)-virtual sessions that introduce students to NASA experts and career possibilities. You'll host sessions, support guest speakers, and ensure a smooth and engaging experience.
  • Track results and impact, collecting data and feedback to measure program success and inform future activities.

This is a hybrid position so must be able to commute to the Johnson Space Ctr. as needed.

Expected salary range: $72-84K
