The Evap. Operators job involves learning all aspects of the evaporator including startup, operation, shutdown, homogenization, pasteurization, cleanup, and record keeping. Evaporators requirements are; must have experience working in a manufacturing environment for a minimum of three years, must be able to pass Nestle's forklift certification and must obtain a state pasteurizers' license. Employees shall follow all the plant safety and quality rules, report incidents & unsafe conditions immediately and maintain compliance with regulations.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: The following represent some of the essential functions of this position. Other duties may be assigned.

  1. Operate a five effect falling film evaporator and all related equipment HTST, Separator and Homogenizing equipment.
  2. Continuously monitor all critical functions of peripheral equipment such as pumps, heat exchangers and cooling media to ensure finished milk product meets the desired specifications.
  3. Perform Cleaning in Process (CIP) on all equipment as related to the evaporator process.
  4. Coordinate with Quality Lab operator to achieve correct production and to achieve proper component ratio in the product being produced.
  5. Participate in all activities as it relates to the evaporator process.
  6. Maintain a safe, clean and orderly work area.
  7. Mentor new Evaporator Operators.
  8. Must be able to work with fellow employees in a professional manner. Must be able to get along well with peers and management

*Must have a basic understanding of computers in order to operate equipment and to perform SAP transactions.

General Expectations: Employee must come to work promptly and regularly, work under the supervision of others, at times under stressful conditions, work within deadlines, and be able to work professionally with others at all times and in all situations.

The approximate hourly pay for this position is $24.16 to $30.20. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills and abilities as well as geographic location.
