Content Strategy Associate
The Executive Office plays an integral role in setting and advancing Goldman Sachs' corporate strategy, and in preserving the firm's distinctive culture. We are responsible for safeguarding the firm's relationship with alumni, clients, shareholders, policy makers, and the broader public, while ensuring that our own people remain informed about the firm's evolving priorities. Led by the firm's first Chief Marketing Officer, the marketing function at Goldman Sachs is backed by momentum and a broad imperative to unify the discipline, helping to codify a business-critical function seen as core to the firm's future growth. As such, Global Marketing is focused on building out a data-and-technology enabled team of growth marketers, delivering value for the brand and the business. The organization consists of COE teams including Brand Marketing, Marketing Strategy & Transformation, Content, Design, Partnerships, Media, and Marketing Tech and Effectiveness, as well as marketing teams for each of our revenue businesses. We are seeking a highly organized and analytically minded content strategy, operations and effectiveness associate to join the content team within the Executive Office. This role is ideal for an emerging professional passionate about content marketing and thought leadership. They must have demonstrable experience using data to inform strategy, excellent project management skills and the ability to manage content workflows. They will play a crucial role in supporting the development and execution of our Executive Office content strategy and working as a center of excellence across the firm as a liaison with content marketing teams in all businesses. This role is based in New York and will report to the head of content strategy.
- Content Calendar Management:Assist in the creation, maintenance, and optimization of editorial calendars across various platforms, ensuring timely delivery and publication of content.
- Content Performance Analysis:Take the lead in analytics tools (e.g., Adobe Analytics, podcast and social media analytics platforms) to monitor content performance, track key metrics such as traffic, engagement, sentiment, and favorability. Provide insights and recommendations for content optimization based on data.
- Reporting:Assist in generating regular reports on content performance and present findings to the team and senior stakeholders.
- Content Creation Support:Support the content team in brainstorming ideas, researching topics, and assisting with the planning of content campaigns.
- Cross-functional and Firmwide Collaboration: Coordinate with content marketing stakeholders across the firm, as well as with cross-functional teams (e.g., brand marketing and analytics) to ensure alignment with business goals.
- Competitive Analysis:Conduct research on competitor content strategies and industry trends to identify opportunities and gaps in our content approach.
- SEO Optimization:Contribute to content optimization efforts by assisting with keyword research and ensuring content aligns with SEO best practices to improve organic search visibility.
- Trend Monitoring: Keep a constant pulse on content marketing trends and media developments to inform content and decision making.
- 3+ years of experience in content marketing or marketing analytics, with proven experience of digital content performance analysis and strategy
- Demonstrated experience working with analytics platforms (e.g., Adobe Analytics, social media insights) to measure content performance and inform decisions.
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and maintain a detailed content calendar.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including strong PowerPoint presentation skills.
- A practical, data-driven mindset with an eagerness to learn and adapt.
- Familiarity with content management systems (CMS) and social media platforms.
Salary Range The expected base salary for this New York, New York, United States-based position is $100000-$160000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus if you are an active employee as of fiscal year-end.
