Job Title: Customer Service Representative

Reports To: Operations Manager

Scope: Interact with customers via telephone, email, face-to-face on behalf of the organization.

Location: Muncie, IN location offers an extensive selection of transit bus parts for all makes and models.


Major Areas of Responsibility:

  • Respond promptly and professionally to all customer inquiries.
  • Process sales orders into Oracle, verifying cost data, specifications and descriptions to ensure proper parts and brands are being supplied. Determine charges, verification of the delivery method and the shipping address.
  • Provide price quotes according to established department procedures.
  • Provide timely and accurate information to incoming customer order status and product knowledge requests.
  • Respond to customer concerns and handle returns in a timely manner.
  • Review or make changes to customer accounts when necessary.
  • Work closely with the accounting department to resolve disputed invoices or aging invoices.
  • Provide timely feedback to the company regarding customer concerns.
  • Partner with the outside sales team to meet and exceed customer's service expectations.
  • Provide feedback on the efficiency of the customer service process.
  • Embrace and promote the customer service philosophy of exceeding customer expectations every day.
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures.




Essential Skills:

  • Efficient with using basic office equipment (i.e. computer, copy machine, scanner & fax machine)
  • Excellent Microsoft Office Professional skills - Experience with Oracle a plus.
  • Must have excellent organizational, communication (oral and written), and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multi-task, work independently, work under pressure, prioritize and meet multiple deadlines
  • Self-motivated and the ability to work on their own initiative.




Education

  • High School diploma or equivalent

  • Competitive Salary
  • Full Time: Monday - Friday, 40 hours/week
