• Completion of a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
• At least 2 years of directly related experience
• Knowledge of related engineering standards, techniques and criteria.
• Good communication skills to comprehend and convey detailed technical data.
• Ability to develop and maintain good interpersonal relationships, work collaboratively within a team environment.
• Good problem identification and problem resolution skills.
• Exhibits questioning attitude and practices self-checking.
  
• Advanced level of specific software tools (CAD, FEA, CFD) and programming skills

• Knowledge of component engineering & ASME Code as well as quickly gains technical knowledge, including a practical understanding of technical and quality requirements, performance requirements, and configuration control.
• Technical supplier oversight skills such as high attention to detail in the preparation and review of work products with the intent of first-time quality

As a Mechanical Engineer in Lynchburg, VA, you will be part of the proven team in the Installed Base Products & Engineering group at the Nuclear Parts Center. Your work will include project engineering, component engineering, technical supplier oversight, and component fabrication and testing. This position requires occasional travel. Together we will enable clean, safe, and economical low-carbon energy to meet the global ambition for a better tomorrow.

Your Total Rewards Package

The range of base salary for the position is between $75,000 - $97,000, and may also include annual incentives, performance bonuses and benefits. Please note that the base salary range is a guideline, and individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies and work location.
