Equipment Maintenance Technician - Etch

We are seeking a detail-oriented Equipment Maintenance Technician - Etch to join our team at Polar Semiconductor. In this role, you will perform repairs and preventive maintenance procedures on Etch equipment to ensure optimal performance and reliability. Your work will directly support production output, equipment uptime, and engineering initiatives critical to our semiconductor manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform equipment repair and scheduled preventative maintenance according to documented specifications.

  • Document all maintenance activities in control charts, PM logs, and passdown logs.

  • Analyze and improve equipment performance and mean time between failures by collaborating with Production, Engineering, and fellow Technicians.

  • Coordinate with Material Handlers to maintain a supply of spare parts, order replacements, and return parts for repair or calibration.

  • Participate as a member of the Emergency Response Team.

  • Support company initiatives including quality, safety, environmental management, CQI, 5S, yield management, and cost containment.

  • Perform other duties as assigned to support production and maintenance needs.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Associate's degree in electronics technology or a related field, or equivalent military training/experience in semiconductor equipment maintenance.

  • Knowledge of electronics, mechanics, robotics, hydraulics, pneumatics, vacuum systems, and test equipment.

  • Proficiency in diagnosing equipment issues and troubleshooting problems.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Proficiency in PC/network systems and Microsoft Office applications.

Preferred:

  • Experience in semiconductor manufacturing environment.

  • Hands-on experience with Applied Centura 5200, Gasonics PEP, FSI Mercury, or wet processing equipment.

  • Familiarity with SPC principles and continuous improvement practices.

What We Offer

Salary: $28.00-$34.00 per hour (good-faith estimate), plus shift differentials where applicable.
