What You Can Expect

1. Accounting Innovation & Automation

  • Drive Gen AI-based automation across core accounting processes such as journal entry creation, account reconciliations, period close, and subledger-to-GL flows.
  • Identify opportunities to use LLMs for anomaly detection, intelligent GL coding, and automated narrative reporting.
  • Enable real-time insights from large volumes of accounting transactions using AI summarization and classification.

2. ERP & Subledger Modernization

  • Lead transformation initiatives for Oracle Financials and related subledgers.
  • Architect scalable Gen AI use cases integrated with ERP modules to improve operational efficiency and accuracy.
  • Collaborate with system owners to embed AI/ML capabilities natively or through extension platforms.

3. Indirect Procurement Transformation

  • Apply Gen AI to optimize the indirect procurement lifecycle - vendor onboarding, contract review, PO creation, and spend analytics.
  • Enable smart assistant capabilities for buyers (e.g., AI-driven sourcing, automated RFQ responses).
  • Partner with procurement leadership to digitize workflows and improve compliance using AI.

4. Ecosystem & Platform Strategy

  • Lead evaluation and implementation of AI platforms and tools that integrate with Oracle and procurement solutions.
  • Establish data pipelines and governance frameworks that support safe and explainable AI in financial operations.
  • Build a flexible architecture to support rapid prototyping and deployment of AI use cases.

5. Leadership & Governance

  • Partner closely with Controllers, Internal Audit, Procurement, and IT to align on priorities and compliance requirements.
  • Ensure solutions meet SOX, audit, and data privacy standards.

Build and lead a cross-functional team including engineers, data scientists, and business analysts.

What We're Looking For

1. Technical Skills

  • Enterprise Applications:
    • Deep knowledge ofOracle ERP (Financials, EBS)andsubledger accounting systems
    • Familiarity withProcure-to-Pay (P2P)processes and systems
    • Knowledge ofintegration strategiesfor extending ERP systems using APIs, middleware, or AI extensions
  • AI/ML Exposure:
    • Practical experience withGenerative AI (LLMs, transformers)for enterprise use cases
    • Exposure toAI-driven automationin finance workflows (e.g., journal entry creation, reconciliations)
    • Understanding ofAI model governance, model explainability, and responsible AI frameworks

2. Functional & Domain Expertise

  • Finance & Accounting:
    • Deep understanding of accounting processes including GL, subledger flows, period close, and account reconciliations
    • Experience in narrative reporting, financial controls, and SOX compliance
  • Procurement:
    • Knowledge of indirect procurement processes, including vendor management, contract lifecycle, and RFQ/RFP workflows
    • Understanding of spend analytics, compliance, and digital sourcing
  • Audit & Risk:
    • Familiarity with internal audit requirements, compliance frameworks, and data privacy regulations

3. Strategic & Leadership Skills

  • Vision & Roadmapping:
    • Ability to define astrategic roadmapfor Finance IT modernization using Gen AI
    • Capability toprioritize AI use casesaligned with business impact and risk profile
  • Cross-functional Collaboration:
    • Strong interpersonal skills to engage Controllers, Procurement, IT, and Internal Audit teams
    • Ability to leadinterdisciplinary teamsspanning data science, engineering, and finance
  • Team Building & Leadership:
    • Experience building and leadingcross-functional teams
    • Skilled in managingtechnical and non-technical talentto drive innovation
  • Program Management:
    • Strongprogram managementandtransformation leadershipexperience
    • Familiarity withAgile/Lean methodologiesin enterprise environments

Required Experience

  • 15+ yearsin IT Finance, withat least 5 years in a leadership role
  • Demonstrated track record ofleading ERP transformations
  • Hands-on leadership of AI/ML initiativesin finance or procurement contexts
  • Proven ability todeliver measurable automation gainsandimprove process efficiencies
  • Experience working in ahighly regulated, compliance-drivenenvironment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree inFinance, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field
  • Certifications in:
    • Oracle Financials
    • AI/ML platforms
    • Project/Program Management(PMP, Agile)
  • Exposure toGenAI ethics, fairness, and model governance frameworks

Expected Base Pay Range (USD)

158,870 - 238,000, $ per annum

The successful candidate's starting base pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location and market conditions. The expected base pay range for this role may be modified based on market conditions.
