The Vendor Operations Specialist is responsible for providing a best-in-class customer experience by providing accurate SKU building and sharing product knowledge with our internal support team by responding to requests quickly and efficiently. The role supports the Retail and Contract divisions through a variety of operational tasks. This role and the team work in a high-volume environment and are accountable for support and communications with our sales and support teams internally.

  • Provide and manage daily Special-Order support functions to the Retail and Contract Sales Organizations.

  • Create custom SKUs and provide Account Specialists/Sales Representatives with pricing.

  • Manage SKU integrity and accuracy including the extended product options selling tool database.

  • Maintain and update Special Order and Replacement Part tools and documents available to the sales fields.

  • Work with sales field to ensure an efficient and smooth operation for Special Ordering and when ordering Replacement Parts.

  • Correspond with vendors and confirm lead time and pricing for SKU's and special materials requirements.

  • Meet regularly with Merchant(s) to ensure selling tools are easy to use and to promote the launch of new programs.

  • Arrange swatch approval process for Custom (COL/COM) orders and upon order placement monitor through life cycle to include tracking information, receipt and other material requirements.

  • Primary contact for product compliance; work with compliance team to implement compliance for Expandable Plastics, TSCA VI, CAL 117-2013, Flame Retardants, Prop 65 and other regulations.

  • Manage and maintain accurate Special Order and Replacement Part sales tools to include catalogs, pricelists, swatches by request, and disseminate assortment updates for the Retail and Contract Sales Organizations.

  • 2-3 years' experience in a customer service or retail operation role.

  • Demonstrated customer service demeanor.

  • Able to work weekends, and evenings during Sale periods.

  • Able to work cross functionally where needed within the SKU Building team.

  • Strong organizational skills.

  • Work in Salesforce queue and manage caseload; accordingly, SF Lightning experience a plus.

  • Attention to detail; outstanding problem-solving/multi-tasking skills; strong follow-through skills; resourceful and creative.

  • Find solutions while considering best interests of the customer and the company.

  • Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written; conveys information in a clear and concise manner; asks appropriate probing questions.

  • Creative; looking for ways to gain/build relationships and improve processes.

  • Able to work in multiple systems at one time.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.

  • Learn quickly when facing new problems; open to change; resourceful in finding solutions; enjoys challenges and unfamiliar tasks. Ability to effectively cope with change; can decide and act without having the total picture; handles uncertainty well.

  • Team player. Cooperative, and support of peers; encourages collaboration.

  • Interested in self-development; Is personally committed to continuously improve. Understand that different situations and levels may call for different skills and approaches.

  • Ability to work Core Hours: 8:30-5:30 pm.

Compensation range for this role is $44,045.00 - $55,085.00. Relevant salary considerations will include candidate qualifications and experience, other business/organizational needs and market factors . You may also be eligible to receive a geographic premium, annual discretionary incentive and equity awards which are subject to the rules governing these programs.
