Job Duties
Administration of the entire endeavor is the responsibility of the Director and other senior administrators (Associate and Assistant Directors). The size and complexity of the ECU Office of Student Financial Aid, the Financial Services Call Center require several Associate and Assistant Directors. Each Associate Director has substantial independent administrative authority and discretion within the specific area of responsibilities assigned to the position. This position supervises the Counseling staff, the Reception team, and the Manager and oversees the operations of the Financial Services Call Center.
Routine financial aid decisions are made at lower levels than that of Associate Director. However, the Associate Director has the authority to determine financial aid eligibility and to commit the institution to a financial decision independently, or on appeal from students or parents, based on the applications and information collected. Typically, the Associate Director reviews and decides the most complex or difficult cases upon referral from Assistant Directors.
