Program Coordinator - Hematology

Department Summary:
Under direct supervision, coordinates administrative functions within the department of hematology's lab to support Dr. Vijay Sankaran. Ensures that objectives specified for the lab are accomplished in accordance with established priorities, time limitations, funding limitations or other specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in planning workshops, meetings, or conferences, and coordinate logistics, scheduling, and participant communications.
• Assist in the coordination of recruitment efforts.
• Coordinate activities and daily operations of a program.
• Prepare or assist in the preparation of proposals for funding and/or funding continuation from outside sponsors.
• Prepare or assist in the preparation of periodic reports and records on program activities, progress, status, or other special reports for management or outside agencies.
• Review applications or other program documents in conjunction with a supervisor to determine acceptance or make decisions pertaining to the program.
• Draft written communication and promotional literature.

Minimum Qualifications
Education:

1. Associates degree or equivalent experience
2. Bachelor's degree preferred

Experience:

1. 1 year of related work experience
2. The ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing and provide empathy in difficult interpersonal situations.
3. The ability to work with diverse internal and external constituencies.
