TEMP - Aide

Responsible for technical theatre assignments at the Granville Arts Center Theatres, Plaza Theatre and Atrium. Also, responsible for ticket sales in the box office using a computerized ticketing system.

Pay Range: $13.50 - 15.00 (Depending on qualifications and experience)

• Operate and instruct others in the use of theatre sound and lighting equipment.

• Sell tickets using computerized ticketing system.

• Work closely with clients and staff in setting up and ensuring smooth operation of all technical equipment in all theatres.

• Greet patrons and answer questions regarding rentals, ticket sales, directions etc.

• High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED)

• Experience with theatre sound and/or lighting equipment

Or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.

• Some college course work

• Some technical theatre experience

• Advanced knowledge in theatre sound and lighting equipment

• Knowledge of basic computer operations

• Skill in handling cash and balancing a cash drawer

• Ability to multi-task in demanding box office environment

• Ability to provide quality customer service

• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing

• No Licenses/ Certifications required

The incumbent will have to stand or walk through multi-levels of buildings, crawl through confined spaces, climb up a 20 ft. ladder to catwalk, lift and/or carry a maximum of 50 lbs. Also, work in a box office and theatre environment; occasional exposure to unpleasant environmental conditions and/or hazards. Occasional outside work.
