Job Summary

We're looking for a driven and experienced Assistant Controller to join a growing organization dedicated to safety and innovation. You'll lead critical accounting operations, manage payroll and reporting processes, and guide a small team toward financial excellence.

What You'll Do

• Manage general ledger posting, month-end closing, and financial reporting
• Oversee certified payroll, prevailing wage, and union contract compliance
• Support the Controller with budgeting, forecasting, and audit preparation
• Lead, train, and mentor accounting staff
• Maintain accuracy, compliance, and internal control standards

What You'll Bring

• 5+ years of accounting/payroll experience in the construction industry
• 5+ years in a leadership or management role within accounting
• Expertise in certified payroll and prevailing wage projects
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting (required)
• Advanced Excel skills and strong accounting software knowledge
• A proactive mindset with excellent analytical and organizational skills
