JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS

The School of Public Affairs at Penn State Harrisburg is seeking a part-time lecturer to teach PLSC 460: Science, Technology, and Public Policy in Spring Semester 2026. This residential (on-campus, face-to-face) course serves students in the political science and public policy bachelor's programs.

Requirements and Qualifications
  • Master's degree in political science, public policy, public administration, or a related field (Ph.D. preferred).

  • Relevant academic or professional background; teaching experience preferred.

Desired Skills
  • Policy analysis and evaluation.

  • Data literacy (e.g., R, Stata, Python).

  • AI applications in policy analysis.

  • Survey design and analysis (e.g., Qualtrics).

  • Technical and policy writing.

  • Applied professional experience in government, industry, or nonprofit policy roles.
