***This is a fully onsite position based out of our San Francisco, CA office.***

About the role:

The Senior Research Analyst leads the preparation of comprehensive market reports, research publications, and various analytical materials. The Senior Research Analyst will validate data integrity, create content for client presentations and Requests for Proposals (RFPs), assist with property market valuations, and handle daily responsibilities. This role is both strategic and hands-on, supporting brokerage teams with high-level reporting, custom analysis, and presentations.

In this role, you will:

  • Manage and lead the creation of quarterly reports, research content, forecasts, and other materials like presentations, white papers, and special reports as needed.

  • Maintain property-level data across internal databases, spreadsheets, and presentation materials to track market activity and trends.

  • Provide timely and reliable statistical information across commercial properties, market activity, and economic trends.

  • Conduct field research to confirm and enhance market information, take photographs, verify tenant movement, and monitor new developments.

  • Partner with marketing and sales professionals to provide research assistance for client-specific requests, including strategic planning, portfolio reviews, and highest and best-use analyses.

  • Support brokers and staff with special projects by gathering data like ownership, zoning, land use, and property sales, and provide demographic insights with help from Colliers GIS Location Intelligence.

  • Collaborate with corporate IT and research/marketing teams to troubleshoot, test upgrades, and/or implement changes to Colliers' proprietary software systems.

  • Represent Research in local office sales/leasing and tenant meetings. Present latest market data and trends internally to brokers. Represent local office in regional research calls as needed.

What you bring:

  • 4-6 years of experience in Commercial Real Estate research or analytics.

  • Bachelor's degree in business, economics, real estate, or related field.

  • Advanced in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

  • Excellent organization and time management skills with the ability to shift priorities, meet critical deadlines, and deliver projects on time.

  • Comfortable working with a variety of software platforms, including CRM systems, mapping tools, databases, and online research tools.

  • Advanced Tableau or Power BI is preferred

  • Economic datasets and market research tools (e.g., CoStar, Moody's, MSCI).

  • GIS and spatial tools (preferred).

Approximate salary range for this Role: $86,233 - $122,904 USD

Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on this job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
