IS Service Engineer II - Clinical Technology Services

The IS Service Engineer II - Clinical Technology Services plays a pivotal role in advancing the security of medical devices and other clinical technologies across the enterprise. This position collaborates closely with a diverse group of stakeholders - including clinical staff, IS field teams, cybersecurity experts, network engineers, application analysts, and external vendors-to conduct comprehensive security reviews and technical assessments of medical device technologies.

Key responsibilities include:



  • Security Architecture Reviews: Facilitate and document security architecture assessments for both new and existing medical devices, ensuring alignment with industry cybersecurity standards.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Field Services, Cybersecurity, Networking, and Application teams to gather requirements, identify risks, and deliver secure, scalable solutions.
  • Process Development: Create and maintain workflows, templates, and technical artifacts that support consistent and thorough evaluation of clinical technologies.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with clinical and non-clinical teams to understand operational needs and translate them into actionable technical strategies.
  • Technology Integration: Support the onboarding and integration of medical devices into existing network and application environments, ensuring compatibility and resilience.
  • Lifecycle and Compliance Support: Contribute to the development of lifecycle roadmaps and ensure visibility into enterprise medical device inventory, with a focus on cybersecurity and compliance for network-connected devices.


Candidates should demonstrate strong project management capabilities, cross-functional collaboration skills, and the ability to lead technical initiatives that enhance patient care and clinical operations.

Required qualifications:



  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering
  • 2 or more years of related experience
  • Experience in automation, specifically related to deployment, recovery, or other manual processes
  • Experience with n-tier solutions
  • Experience with resilience modeling (failure mode analysis) and ability to simulate service outages for point solutions (automated) and platforms (manually)


Preferred qualifications:



  • Experience in a Healthcare environment
  • Experience with network engineering
  • Experience working in a cybersecurity role
  • Experience working with medical device technologies
  • Experience working with diverse stakeholders & vendors
