The Senior Director, TGS, Diagnostic Solutions Lead Business Partner, plays a pivotal role in shaping and delivering the Technology & Global Services (TGS) strategy in alignment with the strategic objectives of the Diagnostic Solutions (DS) Business Unit. This leader acts as the primary conduit between DS leadership and TGS, responsible for translating business priorities into actionable technology roadmaps and delivering high-impact solutions that drive innovation, operational efficiency, and commercial success.

This individual leads a team of business partners to conduct strategic analysis, define solution direction, and oversee execution. The role demands deep collaboration across internal and external collaborators to ensure DS is consistently supported with forward-looking, enterprise-aligned technology thought leadership. This is a unique opportunity to orchestrate the convergence of technology, process, and workplace solutions in support of DSs strategic priorities.

This leadership position reports directly to the VP, TGS Business Partner Life Sciences and serves on the DS Business Unit Leadership Team, contributing to strategic planning and decision-making at the Business Units highest level.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a proactive and strategic partner to the Business - deeply understanding its evolving priorities and identifying high-impact opportunities where TGS can enable, accelerate, and advance those objectives through innovative, customer-centric and scalable solutions
  • Develop a deep, strategic understanding of the business, including its key value drivers, operational priorities, and long-term goals
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to senior business leaders, aligning technology initiatives with business goals
  • Lead cross-functional collaboration across Commercial, R&D, Supply Chain, and other functions
  • Represent business interests within TGS and advocate for integrated, enterprise-aligned solutions
  • Envision and drive the assessment, implementation and adoption of advanced technologies such as AI, automation, and advanced analytics to enable a Digital First organization
  • Identify and define opportunities for process redesign and digital enablement
  • Promote end-to-end solution thinking and iterative value delivery
  • Drive the execution of strategic programs, ensuring alignment with business roadmaps and enterprise architecture
  • Supervise progress, handle risks, and ensure value realization through Key Performance Indicators and change impact analysis
  • Coordinate with external vendors and internal teams to deliver scalable, customer-centric solutions
  • Facilitate the deployment and adoption of new digital capabilities across business units
  • Ensure solutions are user-centric, scalable, and aligned with BDs enterprise standards
  • Champion continuous improvement, lean principles and innovation in service delivery

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in technology or a related field is strongly preferred
  • Masters degree is highly desirable
  • Educational certificate or training in a process methodology is a plus
  • Bring a combination of strategic understanding, both business and technology experience, exceptional relationship building skills and customer centric approach
  • Extensive Leadership Experience: Over 10 years of progressive experience in technology roles, with a consistent record of driving digital transformation and delivering enterprise-scale solutions in complex, matrixed environments
  • Strategic Technology Expertise: Deep knowledge of commercial, operational, and ERP systems - including SAP S/4HANA - with the ability to envision and implement innovative, scalable solutions by leveraging both internal capabilities and external technology partners
  • Acquisition and Divestiture Leadership: Experience leading cross-functional technology and business teams through acquisition and divestiture initiatives - ensuring separation planning, seamless integration, and execution while aligning IT strategies with business goals
  • Enterprise Collaboration & Influence: Proven track record to influence across organizational boundaries, break down silos, and foster alignment among diverse stakeholders to drive unified outcomes
  • Visionary Thinking & Innovation: Skilled in articulating a shared organizational vision, generating inventive ideas, and translating long-term strategic goals into actionable technology roadmaps
  • Executive Communication: Adept at simplifying complex business and technical challenges for executive audiences, enabling informed decision-making and partner consensus
  • Operational Excellence: Familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma) and project management frameworks, with experience leading Kaizen workshops and process optimization initiatives
  • Transformational Leadership: Deep understanding of organizational change principles and methodologies. Recognized for leading change through positive influence, coaching, and mentorship - empowering teams to challenge the status quo and embrace innovation
  • Matrixed & Ambiguous Environments: Comfortable navigating ambiguity and leading through influence in highly matrixed global organizations, aligning cross-functional teams around shared goals
