Position Summary: We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Residential/Commercial Field Technician to join our growing team in the Greater Pittsburgh area. This is a W-2 contract-to-hire opportunity with the potential for long-term employment and career advancement. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience installing, servicing, and troubleshooting home security systems, including alarms, cameras, smart home devices, and access control systems. Key Responsibilities: * Install, configure, and maintain residential and small business security systems (alarms, surveillance cameras, smart locks, sensors, etc.) * Perform system testing and troubleshooting to ensure optimal functionality * Performed service and troubleshooting all alarm systems. * Install card access systems. * Run alarm and low voltage alarm cable in existing residential dwellings. * Repair and upgrade window and door contacts, monitoring detectors and smoke detectors. * Educate customers on system usage and maintenance * Respond to service calls and perform routine maintenance and upgrades * Maintain accurate documentation of installations, service calls, and customer interactions * Ensure compliance with safety standards and company protocols * Collaborate with dispatch and support teams to ensure timely service delivery Qualifications: * High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications a plus * 1+ years of experience in security system installation or related field * Familiarity with brands such as Honeywell, ADT, Ring, SimpliSafe, or similar systems * Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude * Excellent customer service and communication skills * Valid driver's license and clean driving record * Ability to pass required onboarding/screenings Additional Information: * Competitive hourly wage (based on experience) * Overtime opportunities * Company vehicle and tools provided * Paid training and certification support * Health, dental, and vision benefits available upon conversion * Career growth opportunities within the company Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $23.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
