DESCRIPTION OF WORK

This high-visibility role places you at the center of our operational success, where you will be directly responsible for coordinating, planning, and overseeing all maintenance activities within the Cambria County Maintenance Organization. Specific duties will involve the preparation of plans and estimates for a variety of work operations such as paving, surface treatment, widening, construction, joint sealing, snow removal, and much more. You will provide recommendations for the allocation of equipment, manpower, and materials in order to accomplish program goals and ensure customer satisfaction with business results.
Your work will be focused on effectively coordinating work assignments, promoting effective communication, and striving to continuously improve labor and customer relations. You will oversee field work in progress and upon completion for policy, procedure, quality, and plan conformance, and prepare performance records. In addition, you will meet with union representatives, employees, local groups, officials, and property owners to explain operations, resolve problems, and foster cooperative working relationships.
Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- This position may be eligible for alternate work schedule (AWS).
- Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Ebensburg. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. Additional details may be provided during the interview.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Three years as a Highway Foreman 2 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- Five years of technical experience in highway maintenance or highway construction; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Special Requirements:
- This position requires possession of a valid PA non-commercial Class C driver's license or equivalent.
Other Requirements:
