POSITION SUMMARY:

Sugarbush Resort is seeking a Volunteer Coordination to oversee our Ambassador Program. The Volunteer Coordinator would work to hire ambassadors and ensure they have been trained and informed of their daily duties. This is a fulltime seasonal position that pays $25/hour.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Coordinator will work with Director to recruit and hire all volunteers.
  • Oversee the Ambassador Volunteer Handbooks, updating program requirements as pertinent.
  • Ensure the privileges of the programs stay current with industry standards and are consistent with other resort programs.
  • Identify all key Ambassador and Volunteer roles and ensure all staff are properly trained.
  • Oversee the management of department jackets.
  • Schedule, coordinate and plan the Annual Orientation for this group.
  • Oversee the Ambassador Advisory Council.
  • Oversee the Ambassador Scheduling Coordinator, who is responsible for scheduling of all volunteers in the FLAIK software system.
  • Oversee all annual ski/ride evaluations, binding tests and personal safety plans.
  • Provide regular updates to volunteers on how they are doing with fulfilling their day requirements. Provide weekly email communications to all team members.
  • Candidate should be highly team oriented and prepared to lend a hand whenever asked. This may include pitching in at various resort departments as needed. Will be asked to work the Guest Services Desk as needed.


QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred from a four-year college or equivalent related work experience.
  • Proficient with all Microsoft Programs, especially Outlook, Word, Excel & Power Point.
  • Proficient with Internet use and online or web-based programs, especially Chrome.
  • Ability to learn internal software programs.
  • Ability to handle private and confidential data.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Valid Driver's license with clean driving record.
  • Advanced skiing/riding ability preferred. Annual on-snow evaluation and gear safety tests required.
  • Ability to work primarily outdoors.
  • Position requires arriving before the mountain opens and staying until mountain operations close. Occasional evening work required, as well as weekends and holidays.
