Position Highlights:

  • Provides comprehensive evaluation of all assigned patients. May require supervision/training in the areas of objective swallowing evaluation, lymphedema evaluation and treatment, alaryngeal voice restoration, and/or neurogenic cognitive language evaluation and treatment

  • Develops and administers rehabilitative plan of care consistent with specific area(s) of deficit.

  • Initiates and maintains records (progress reports, discharge summaries, etc.) of patient activity and services provided.

  • Initiates referrals and conveys recommendations to medical, educational and allied health professional and agencies.

  • Attends and participates in rounds, staff meetings and other meetings specific to patient needs.

  • Facilitates program development and expansion via attendance and/or presentations at professional meetings and correspondence.

  • Plans and participates in educational training for hospital staff, allied health professionals, patients and family members.

  • Cooperates and participates in patient care audit activities.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology

  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology awarded by the America Speech Pathology-Language-Hearing Association

  • Licensure in Speech-Language Pathology issued by the Texas Board of Examiners for Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology

  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)

  • Completion of Clinical Fellowship.
  • Two years of experience in healthcare setting preferred

Compensation for this specialty generally ranges from 71,200-127,200. Total cash compensation includes base pay and bonus and is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience and may increase over time based on productivity and performance in the role. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
