Scope of role

This Software Project Manager III - is responsible for planning, collaboration, and execution within a cross-function development team delivering product solutions that enhance Regal Rexnord's Connected Solutions portfolio. This leadership role engages in the reoccurring planning cycles, facilitating work sizing, schedule development, resource allocation, and alignment to the quarterly delivery commitments that are integrated into execution management systems. Development projects are software focused solutions supported by a team proficient in SCALED Agile methodologies across the product lifecycle. Projects typically serve Regal Rexnord divisions and require a partnered approach focused on transparent communications, rapid proof-of-concept development, stakeholder value delivery, and leadership that bridges Connected Solutions processes with the divisional service offerings and transactional business processes.

The ideal candidate brings proven project management experience in AGILE new product development for software solutions connected to service offering and digitally enabled platforms. Requires ability to coordinate software solution execution and deployment across an enterprise, at scale, with an ecosystem of dependent applications. Be the bridge between the development team and the business stakeholders to implement change management and integration of business processes for production release. They are a skilled SCRUM Master, within a Program Increment SCALED Agile environment, committed to continuous improvement. They excel at leading global teams to consistently deliver commitments. Must be self-motivated, promote team accountability, communicate clarity, and be an effective problem-solver who overcomes barriers and mitigates risks to drive business results.

Connected Solutions is part of a fast-paced, high-growth business seeking a team member with a strong sense of ownership, drive, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic environment. This is a hybrid role located at the downtown Milwaukee, WI office.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead global cross-functional team through planning, execution, end of life for software and connected product platform projects.
  • Define and align scope, objectives, schedules, budget, and resource plans with business goals; facilitate quarterly planning cycles and delivery commitments.
  • Apply both Scaled Agile and Waterfall methodologies as needed to deliver business outcomes; lead Agile ceremonies and manage dependencies across workstreams.
  • Facilitate works breakdown structure, populate management systems (Jira and Confluence), ensure data integrity during ongoing execution for milestone % complete, risk mgmt., burn down and velocity charts with visual mgmt.
  • Monitor and trend project performance, identify improvement opportunities and implement improvements.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for development team, managing communications, ensuring alignment with Product objectives.
  • Champion a team culture of accountability, transparency, proactive risk mitigation, urgency, and data-driven decision-making.
  • Ensure process adherence, facilitate retrospectives to identify, and advance continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Lead structured problem-solving efforts using tools such as 5 Whys, FMEA, and 8D.
  • Represent the development team in leadership reviews with clear updates, decision-ready proposals, and follow-through on actions.
  • Ability to independently manage projects with the discipline to consistently focus on top priorities.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field (Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline/equivalent)
  • 5+ years of Project Management experience, preferably in New Product Development
  • Experience delivering enterprise software initiatives at scale across a complex ecosystem of dependent applications.
  • Agile/SCRUM experience required. SCRUM Master Certs and/or PMP, waterfall experience is a plus.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional, multi-location projects in a global organization is a must
  • Process based, continuous improvement mindset, skilled in structured problem-solving and mitigation actions
  • Effective executor, gets things done, a track record of delivering complex transformation programs
  • Effective communicator. Demonstrates strong executive presence and the ability to interact with Leadership Team and outside partners. Learn and proficiently speak our "digital platform" vocabulary.
  • Makes timely data driven decisions, applies defendable logic and strong financial and business acumen
  • Experience with schedule tool MS Project (and others), proficient with the MS Office package
  • Experience within Jira, Confluence, EazyBI, Copilot and AI Tools, preferred
  • Highly developed planning and organizational skilling including structured project management environment

Ability and willingness to travel, domestic and possibly international, up to 10-20%
